The exerpt below is from the pilot episode of the short-lived Indie Theatre Now! television show, which premiered on Manhattan Neighborhood Network in 2009. I thought it would be fun to share since it has been little-seen and provides a nice historical background into some of the roots of the Indie Theatre movement. My guests are Ellie Covan, founder/director of Dixon Place, and John Clancy and Elena K. Holy, co-founders of the New York International Fringe Festival. Martin Denton produced the show on behalf of the New York Theatre Experience, Pete Schuyler the director and the crew was Danny Bowes, Amber Gallery, Judith Jarocz and Lucile Scott.
